My Paternal History

We know some about the Williams’ side of the family tree; but much still needs to be verified with hard evidence. It stops abruptly at Aus Williams–who I’m pretty certain is Harrison’s father; but I’m still working on it. If I have the correct records for Harrison Williams–and I’m 95% sure that I do, I also have his siblings. In 2018, I’ve made a lot of progress on his tree. Thank you Ancestry.com and Family Search!

The Adams and Gore sides go a little deeper, but we still hit the “brick-wall of slavery.” Without knowing more about the slave-owners and any other racial mixing–which I know from family folklore did occur–we’ll just have to keep researching and depending on DNA to fill in some blanks. My African heritage, discovered through DNA is very exciting. However, specific names and tribes have been forever lost in obscurity. Nevertheless, here’s what we know now…
